Introduction
- Introduce the partnership with Peter Alexander.
- Emphasize this being the third edition of the project.
- State the objective of the blog post: to showcase achievements and preview future updates.

Project Overview
The current project involves constructing a back addition designed to enhance the family room experience.
Key Features
- Cathedral Ceiling: The room will feature a magnificent cathedral ceiling, adding height and a sense of openness.
- 9-Foot Slider: A spacious 9-foot sliding door will provide easy access to the outdoor area and allow natural light to illuminate the room.
- Windows: An extra 9 feet of windows will be placed on the opposite side, ensuring plenty of natural light and scenic views.
- Velux Skylights: Two Velux skylights will be integrated into the design to further enhance natural light and create a bright, airy atmosphere.
Design Intent
The design aims to create a warm, inviting atmosphere for family gatherings while maximizing natural light and outdoor connectivity.
We have the original CAD drawings from the initial remodel. Previously, we drafted the entire house due to significant renovations. For the second floor, we expanded on those plans. Now, for the back addition, we utilized the existing CAD files developed over the years and built upon them.
Project Goals
Our goal is to create a spacious and inviting family room that includes:
- A well-lit environment
- A porch accessible from a 9-foot sliding door
- Cathedral ceilings that enhance the room's openness
- Two Velux skylights to bring in natural light
Creative Outcomes
